Ah yes, it's that time of year again. Earaches, colds, and coughs are upon us. With antibiotics contaminating the earth and creating 'superbugs', this is a great natural herbal remedy to get rid of and soothe an earache that works for little ones and elderly too. Ingredients: 5 garlic cloves 4 oz. olive oil 25 drops eucalyptus essential oil 5 oz or larger amber colored, glass storage container. Llightly cook garlic in olive oil for 6 - 12 hours. Do not burn. strain into glass storage bottle. Add 25 drops of eucalyptus oil. Swirl. Place 2 drops in each ear every half hour - or when needed for 2-8 days.
I receive customer comments on how my products are changing people's lives every week through my facebook page or the comments on blogs or through the 'contact me' form. It NEVER gets old. I love it when people tell me! I have to share this recent review. This comes from Mysti in Pennsylvania.
"I have a few comments & stories I'd like to share but first I'd like to say THANK YOU!!! And, thank God I found your products! I originally purchased your vegan soaps & chapped tits for my daughter who has awful skin issues. She has had them since I adopted her at age 5 1/2 months. She also has Down Syndrome & most Down's individuals have various skin issues as well. Anyway, her cheeks get burgundy in color they are sometimes that inflamed, which is what I use the chapped tits for. (actually, it's so easy in the chapstick container to transport to & from school with her pouch that holds her EpiPen). It worked so well that I didn't need the Comfrey Salve for her! However, I awoke August 22 with a swollen side of my face an horrible pain. I was diagnosed with a form of cellulitis. I was given tons of antibiotics but refused steroids. I was in and out of the hospital and various doctors for nearly 5 weeks still having serious issues they were worried would turn into Periorbital cellulitis which is very serious so I consented to using steroids. When I filled the script & went to place it in my med cabinet I saw the Comfrey Salve and figured "what can it hurt to do without the steroids another few days" so, I used liberal amounts of the salve about 6x that day. The next morning I noticed less pain & less swelling. By day two it was nearly gone. In fact, when I went to my doctors his snide nurse commented I should have not been so stubborn on using steroids & could have ended my suffering much sooner since in just 2 days those steroids had me looking and feeling almost normal after 5 weeks of various treatments. I so enjoyed showing her my tub of Comfrey Salve & telling her I had not taken any of those pills yet!! I have been growing organic herbs for culinary uses for several years. The past year I started reading various magazines and online self sufficiency & reliance articles, etc. so I've expanded my herb garden into medicinal herbs as well. I have yet to make much, just a few tea mixes and tinctures but just recently ordered many supplies & ingredients to begin experimenting on my own soaps, salves and such. I have always canned, started doing it helping my grandma when I was a little girl and have really started this past year expanding what I can. So, finding you posting recipes online (with amazing yummy pictures) has me putting up many more things. In fact, my daughter has been begging to make your freezer waffles! So, I just wanted to take the time to tell you just how much your products have helped not one but two of us. And, my son (also adopted and also blessed with Down Syndrome) hasn't had ashy skin since we started washing with your Seattle Market and the Chap Cheeks? baby bar. He is Chinese and has dark skin. Prior to using either one of those, no matter how expensive the item or what the claims were, he still was very dry and ashy maybe a few hours or less after bathing and putting on moisturizers of any/all kinds. Since using those 2 vegan soaps, his skin takes in the Argan Oil or JoJoba Oils we use for hydration. So, my small family of 3 all thank you for different reasons for making such amazing good for you products!! I only wish you were my neighbor! :) And, if you ever consider selling plants/roots or seeds to any of the organic herbs & plants you grow I'd happily purchase some!! Have a wonderful Friday! Mysti, Mason Henry & Emme from PA" You are so very welcome ;)
